TFCI : Parliamentary party to reach Valley today to promote tourism.

A 31-member parliamentary party will reach the Valley on Wednesday to promote tourism and culture in Jammu and Kashmir and to examine the condition of Jammu-Srinagar highway and other roads. The party will formally be in Srinagar from January 21 to 23. During this time, he will meet the delegation of various stakeholders related to the tourism business and get experience from them and also take suggestions.

Problems coming in the tourism sector

The party will be led by MP Venkatesh from South India. The party constituted by the Speaker of Lok Sabha will have MPs from various parties. Dr. Jitendra Singh, MP and Minister of State for PMO from Udhampur seat of Jammu and Kashmir will also be with the team. The first meeting of the team is proposed on January 21 at 11 am at Hotel Taj. Sarmad Hafeez, Secretary of the Department of Tourism, said that after meeting with the officials of the tourism department, people associated with tourism business, the team will get information from them about the problems coming in the tourism sector.

In addition, it will hold separate meetings with stakeholders related to tourism, travel, hospitality and road sector. There will also be a meeting with NHAI officials to discuss the role of highway in nation building. A team of MPs will also review road, air and rail connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir.

The team will visit tourist spots

The parliamentary party can also visit some tourist spots in the valley including Gulmarg. Apart from getting information about the facilities available here, we will also consider the option of providing better facilities to tourists coming from the country and abroad.

The Parliamentary Party will consider the issue of promoting tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. Along with this, all stakeholders will take feedback on providing better road, air and rail facilities to the people. Talking with departmental officers will also get information about the problems coming in the tourism sector.
